Online Estimates
Online estimates provided through our instant estimate tool are preliminary in nature and do not constitute a binding contract. These estimates are based on information you provide and are subject to change.
Your final project price will be established through a detailed written quote prepared after a free on-site visit. During the on-site visit, we will assess your specific project requirements, existing substrate conditions, waterproofing needs, and other factors that may affect the final cost. The written quote is the official agreement for your project.
Free On-Site Visit & Written Quote
We offer free on-site visits to provide an accurate assessment of your tile installation project. During this visit, we will:
- Evaluate your current substrate and existing conditions
- Discuss your project scope, materials, and design preferences
- Assess waterproofing and preparation requirements
- Provide a detailed written quote for your project
The written quote provided after the on-site visit is the binding agreement for your project and supersedes any preliminary estimates.
Deposit & Payment Terms
A deposit is required to schedule and initiate your tile installation project. The deposit structure is as follows:
Deposit Amount:
- 100% of Materials Cost + 25% of Labor Cost
This deposit secures your project timeline, reserves materials, and covers initial labor and preparation costs.
The remaining balance is due upon completion of your project. We accept cash, check, and electronic payment methods.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that circumstances may change. Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:
Within 3 Business Days of Deposit: Full refund of your entire deposit.
After 3 Business Days: Deposits are largely non-refundable. By this time, we have ordered materials, reserved labor, and begun project planning. Materials ordered are often custom to your project and cannot be resold.
If you need to cancel your project, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options and any applicable refunds or adjustments.
Workmanship Warranty
We stand behind our work. 1-L Tile provides a 1-year workmanship warranty on all tile installation projects.
This warranty covers defects in workmanship, including:
- Improper tile installation or placement
- Grout or adhesive issues directly related to installation
- Defects in waterproofing application performed by our team
Warranty does not cover damage from natural wear, accidents, improper maintenance, or substrate issues beyond our control. For warranty claims, please contact us within the 1-year warranty period.
CTEF Certification & Credentials
1-L Tile is a CTEF Certified Tile Installer with credential CTI #1559, issued by the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation. This is a professional certification demonstrating expertise in tile installation, waterproofing, and industry best practices.
Important Clarification: CTEF Certification (CTI #1559) is a professional credential and certification—it is NOT a Florida state license. The CTEF is an independent, industry-backed certification organization that sets standards for tile installer competency.

Jurisdiction & Governing Law
All services provided by 1-L Tile are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, with specific jurisdiction in Sarasota County.
Any disputes arising from our services or this agreement shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration as agreed upon by both parties, or through the courts of Sarasota County, Florida.
